About the Course
Managers of microfinance institutions are expected to cary out risk-based-management. This course will equip the candidates to understand risk in the context of microfnance and the tools needed to set up and maintain an enterprise risk management framework. The course will cover prudential guidelines for risk management in microfinance banks and institutions and provide the indept kowledge to effective manage credit risks in microfinance. Other essential risks will be covered including operational risk, reputational risk and environmental and social risks. The meaning and role of internal control in risks management will also be covered. Candidates will also overview the Basel accords, their history, purpose and limitations.
