About the Course
The MCP Module 2 is designed to equip the manager of a microfinance bank or institution to be able to understand financial statenments (profit and loss account, balance sheet, cashflows and portfolio report), conduct ratio analysis and interprete the results. Thus the manager can take the required actions to effective run the insitution and manage key risks. The course provides an overview of sources of funds for microfinance banks and institutions with tips on how to tap into sources such as grants. Candidates will learn how to manage concessionary loans and recieve guidance on how to develop a business plan and how the business plan can serve as a precusor for fundraising. The course ends with tools for financial regulation and Assessment Rating Tools such as CAMEL.
